I was recently asked to provide a list of the Top 50 Mail Database Users, based on the size of their database. I thought this would be a no-brainer!
I pulled the catalog template off my server to make some modifiecation: I created a new view and added a couple of agents to eliminate people not in our region (North America).
After creating a local copy of the Catalog database, replacing the design with my customized template, I was able to view Mail databases, by size, for only those in my region. However, after I submitted my list, my manager asked "What about so-and-so? I can't believe they are not on the list".
So, I looked at their database properties and discovered that a few of the people in question did not have the "List in Database Catalog" Design property enabled on their mail database. I thought I could just go to the mail folder, select all, edit the properties and enable this, but the Properties options is greyed out.
Is there a way to enable this setting for all mail databases? Keep in mind I'm not a coder, so I don't have the talent to write an agent to do this.
Thanks in advance....
Brian
